Do you mean the Clarinet was sold out in your area?It seems the hype around the Clarinet is starting to grow. The copy I was testing was a borrowed one. I went down to the shop to buy my own today. Sold out! It just came in!

Yes. In Singapore. Stock just came in last week.
Using coaxial/ Optical in to Clarinet is when I use it bed side or in office, though I will buy some shorter cables soon to make the "combo" smaller so it can be really "portable".This is a brand I like, so I'll be listening to your comments. Of course, I wouldn't compromise on portability, which is basically how I listen to music, and I don't see the point of the coaxial cable.
But I'll read all your experiences, thanks!
I think pairing it with mobile phone the sound will not let you down, esp. for it's price tag.
Happy New Years!
Yesterday I went out to Celebrate New Year Eve and I brought my fully run-in "Clarinet" with me to see if it can drive the Sony IER Z1R IEM well because the small "z1r" is notorius for it's power hungry nature.
The Clarinet surprises me again, esp. for it's relatively small size, as the Sony IER Z1R was driven very well at Low gain with the volume knob set at 10:30 to 12:00 o'clock (max. level is at 5 o'clock)for most songs, ranging from vocals, Jazz to classical, except at 3 o'clock for the Drum Improvisation (The Sheffield Lab - Drum and Tracks Disc (Jim Keltner) .
Generally, with Clarinet, the Sony IER Z1R sounds rich, dynamic and vivid. Listening to Jazz is enjoyable. The female vocals and voilin are seductive. For percussion, e.g. the Drum Improvisation, the drum kicks are dynamic, fast and punchy. For classical music, the sound stage is deep with good extension to both ends and fast responses, good image separation and spatial presentation. The Clarinet indeed let me reacquaint my Sony IER Z1R.
Anson of Dethonray has set a very high stardand of a portable DAC Amp for the competition. I do think it should wear a price tag of MUCH higher price.

General pop sounds so good. The vocals are very good. It's a very emotional little fella.
I ordered this interface to play around with. US$35

You get coaxial and optical from a USB output. It will also reclock the USB signal, so if you have an entry level USB output. Example a Hiby R4. You can now get a top tier digital signal. Assuming the R4 can power this interface. Or simply get optical or coaxial from your computer.

Here is an example of how these little SMSL devices can be used to reclock and improve the sound.
