Anyone here have direct experience comparing these to the ah-d2000s, or can point me to a direct comparison? I love my ah-d2000s but I don't use them much at all, so I've listed them on amazon. I'm curious whether the ah-mm400s will give me the same sound if I want to get over-ears again in the future.

Rocking the AHD-2000s at work plugged on an ASUS Xonar ESSENCE PCI, love 'em.
Bought the AH-MM400 to listen music on my COWON PLENUE M and on my cellphone to watch videos.
I must admit the MM400 packs a nifty punch but I feel the 2000s if amped correctly are better all rounders and provide a tad more soundstage and feel less cramped and also more comfortable for longer listening sessions (the MM400 push a little).

Thanks for the response! I've taken my D2000s off amazon and will keep them for a time down the road when I can get a good Schiit amp or something and listen to them as the should be heard. This will also prevent me from inevitably wanting to buy even more expensive cans haha!

Hi.. Anyone here using any kind of cover for the headband? I am worried about the cloth material getting dirty from hair care products.

You could probably use these knitted headband covers. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D6UIBWY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=8NJAAAI5YW8O&coliid=I1Z4UAOUCTAXKG&psc=1

I use them for my T1's though I got them from a head-fier.
