Wait... say what?! I'ma bit confused by that statement. Took a hot second but, I think I knowwhat you meant (based on what you heard/read about the two cans, but have not verified). My personal experience is completely flipped! Having owned the D5000 to 1,926 hours, and the D7000 to 1,809 hours (poor HD650 is only at 36 hrs), to me the 5k has more Bass (overall) but the 7k has more Sub-bass between the two. Enough to make the D5000 moveover.
