The D7000s are warmer in the mids which is nice for me, but also to me, very bright in the treble.  The T1 mids are not as warm as the D7000s mids, but its treble is nicely done overall to me.

The T1's mids are much better than the D7000's simply because they are no longer recessed. The D7000 is indeed a somewhat bright can. A few people find the T1 bright too, and comparing to the HE500 I can see why, though it's still not as bright as the D7000s. I definitely think tupac0306 should go for the T1 or HE500, as colored cans only get brighter.

You really have to take these reviews with a grain of salt, everybody hears things differently, you could give the same pair of headphones to 10 different people and get back 8 different opinions.

Yeah, ain,t that the truth, synergy is key to it all really, the Denons are right at the top of the tree when matched with a good S/S amp.
How do you rate the E9 with the Denons, reason I ask is I,m interested in a combo like yours for work.

The E9 is one of the best 'synegy' matches I've ever heard.
.
My favorite D7000 amp below $500

The D7000s are warm cans.  As far as I've heard, only the upper treble is all that excessive.

The E7/E9 works great with my D7K's, the combo has all the punch and volume I need.

I always made sure to buy headphones from only an authorized dealer, and hey what do you know, the one time I don't it bites me in the ass.

The D7000 I got for $688 off of eBay that I told you guys had the swivel issue? Yea, entire cup just came off when I put them down. That's what I get for trying to find a good deal after buying them for $1000. The best part is the D2000 I purchased from Onecall (as I did with my original D7000) has fallen to the floor like 30 times and is in literally flawless condition after 7 months.

*sigh*

eBay is less and less attractive option to purchase anything nowadays with fakes and unreliability in general to me. I don't even sell much on eBay either since they charge so much including the double dip of sales charge and paypal charge.

All my Denon headphones have been excellent, are there any known fakes running around?

I usually stick with local stuff (craigslist, audiogon, etc.)  At least you can handle it directly with an individual and see what you got before you pay for it.

:frowning2: i got mine for $688 as well... bestopdeals the seller for you? so far i've been really pleased, although when i put them down they kinda "slump" over to the left, but they sit on my head fine, swivel fine, and don't seem likely to explode... and the sound phenomenal. so far the savings have been worth it to me, but im currently knocking on wood...

My refurbed 7000s are workiing perfectly.  They look absolutely new with the box and everything.  No issues at all.  $506.52 including 2-3 day select shipping from Dakmart. They are an authorized dealer. My refurb warranty is 90 days.  I'm feelin' lucky.
