I like the way it sounds, too. Although yeah, it is beautiful. Started looking at Peachtree stuff after I saw the Nova at the Austin meet. I'll be really impressed if it powers my speakers well. Great little all rounder if they sound good.

@Morbid:  Sure like the way that Peachtree looks.  Heh.

Post a review of the pairing.  It is relevant to my interests.

It sounds pretty great right now. I can tell you however that if you want Planars in the future, and want a future proof amp, this isn't it.

I like all of the little things about this amp the most so far. The way to knob turns when you remote change the volume, the tube on/off option. I'm hoping to do my first full review on the pair though.

Good. If ever I want to upgrade, I want to consider all of my options, as my current pairing is the best I've ever heard in the history of ever.

Yeah there is. They made 'em in the 70s. Those retro receiver will pretty much power any headphone with a 1/4" jack. If they ever make a headphone that needs more than 60wpc to be powered...I quit

X2 and better than any headphone amp IMO made today most all were discrete and used good parts.

I'm honestly looking into getting one and just being done with buying amps. A really nice mint SX series can be had for around $200. Some of the nicer ones can even be had for $500 (of course some like the SX 1250 will run higher prices). And that's mint condition...

Pair one of those bad boys with a nice DAC and of course your analog sources and you've got a power house to stand the test of time.

The Denon D series are known for being bass monsters...The D7000 doesn't have less bass than the 5000, but it's definitely tightened up. Might be just where you want if you found the 5000 only a little bassy.

EDIT: Post 1500. Supremus status achieved.
