Hope you guys like seeing the D5000 next to the D7000.  Just got this so I hope it's worth owning.  Stay tuned for my impressions.

Interesting. Personally, I'd love to hear how close the D2000 is to the D7000. I jumped straight to the D7000, but was wondering if the D2K was 'close enough'.

Still, can't wait for your D5K/D7K vid.

Of the three--the D5000 and D7000 are the closest with regard to how they sound.

I hear conflicting statements. Some say the D5000 is the warmest and bass oriented, with smoothest highs. The D2000 being the sharpest in treble, and the D7000 being the midpoint in terms of sound signature.

I'm not a fan of overly warm/smooth sound, so I wouldn't ever go with the D5000, but I'm just wondering how close in performance the D2000 is to the D7000. More of a curiosity.

Im a smooth junky, dont really care for warmth but love smooth, and second is soundstage.
Crap... now it really sounds like I should get the D5k. Nope still buying the D7k.
