Denon AH-D2000 in the house

I always get good laughs when people are accusing all the other components of the chain to cause the sibilance. It's never the headphones. Yet still only few headphones have the sibilance and usually with pretty much all the sources and amps. Funny.

Not sure that I heard any sibilance in my setup, which supposed to be quite transparent. Highs were just tad harsh out of the box but they completely smoothed out after 48 hours.

After comparing the 2000s vs the 580s, the first thing that I noticed was how much brighter and crisp the Denons were. My former experience with the Grado 80's simbilance had me believing that I preferred warmer cans. I was wrong... I prefer my Denons a little more than my Senns because they are more "fun". Highs can be good after all

My ears don't pick up any simbilance from the Denons.

Mine just showed up at work. I wasn't expecting them to feel this well built and look this good

Now the long 5 hour wait until I can get home and hear them

So it's forbidden to listen to your headphones before the magical 300 hour limit has been reached?

Headphones can be burnt in by listening to them normally.

Surely, but at least this FOTM is fun to listen to and it will be a nice TV headphone for the spouse afterwards.
Does anybody remember the 2005 christmas season FOTM?
Probably not.
It was incredibly boring to listen to, the headstage was as wide as Arizona but with big gaps everywhere, the headband was sponsored by toupee manufacturers (quite impactful and devastating to your natural hair) and the color, oh man, toilet white.
Thousands of headfiers bought it then. Some still own it since you can't even give it away for free, at least not to a friend. It's that bad.
Unbelievable but true ......

Received my D2000 I ordered 5 days ago from Audio Cubes -- now sitting on desk getting burn-in.

First impression: the cable would gag a maggot!

What were (are?) they thinking?
