The Denon arrived today for our review. I will start making comments after 100 hrs on the sound spectrum. I remember when I owned the D7000 took over 100hrs to sound its best.
How do these compare with the mm400?

have both of them
7200 is much better, no doubt
This is great! Bring on the reviews. These cans deserve more attention :thumbsup_tone2:
Someone please compare TH-X00 vs D7200?
Thanks.
FWIW, I have the E-Mu Teaks and just recently moved on from the TH-X00 Purpleheart...hopefully this will give you some sense of the differences. In general, the 7200 has a bit more articulate and sophisticated sound while the X00s nearly keep pace but definitely deliver more abundant low end grunt (though I think now the 7200s are probably a bit more accurate in the low end, just not with a pronounced emphasis down low). Were it not for the niggle I had with the head-band comfort, I'd be keeping my own 7200s and they're actually quite a wonderful set of cans.
Have you tried the Fostex TH900? Comparing with the Denon?
I have about 50 hours burn in on the D7200 an d it is changing with much tighter bass and sound is opening up some more. Treble extension as well .

Find my comparison a few pages back.
TLDR; TH900 is worse than D7200 at just about everything except bass.
