Hi everyone,

I am eyeing on Denafrips DACs.
For people who can have experience with Denafrips Ares II, do you think that Ares II R2R dac is good enough to challenge next price range chip DAC such as BDA-3 or PS audio directstream Jr. ?

How about Terminator vs DirectStream Senior?

Thanks for your inputs.

There is a whole thread on the Aeres II. You will probably get more help if you ask in that thread.

Denafrips really gives up crisp attack, fast decay, treble extension, bass clarity and texture, bass slam, all for... nothing. Too soft, really colored sound, can't recommend them.

Thanks, it is good to hear both sides of the story. What do you like in an afforable R2R?
