Dekoni Audio produced the Elite series of pads for the Focal Utopia and other summit-fi headphones, to rave reviews and greater price value than the stock pads. Today, Dekoni is pleased to announce a new, more affordable line of pads suitable for the $300 Focal Listen: the Earpadz Midnight series.
Focal has created an excellent travel headphone for those looking for studio-quality sound on the go with their Listen, Listen Professional, and Listen Wireless headphones. With a studio tuning in a lightweight, foldable package, the Listen series brings the artist’s intent with you during your commute, in the gym, or at home. Focal includes microfiber pads as stock.
For headphones used on the go – typically closed headphones to make our fitness runs and travel more entertaining and productive – earpads need to be comfortable, but also reliable, durable, and not priced so precious that they discourage use. When subject to sweat and the elements, a sealed pad can prove easier to clean and longer lasting!
Earpadz bring some of the luxury of our highest quality Elite pads to prices more to scale with midrange headphones, often by using innovative and unique materials. Based around our Midnight Series, the pads for the Listen utilize medium density memory foam for a more immediate give and faster rebound vs the high density foam found in our Elite and Choice Series. The protein leather on the face and outer edge of the pad ensures a good seal for strong isolation from outside noise, making for an excellent option for long term comfort during your morning commute or flights.
Designed with the same perforated mesh on the inside as stock, you'll find the sound signature virtually unchanged. This, combined with a slight increased depth and inner diameter, makes for an increase in comfort without any loss in sound quality.
