Got a pleasant surprise today; the RE0 arrived. Actually forgot I ordered them. Took about two weeks. Surprised by the packaging itself; all the bits are here but it doesn't look anything like the pictures posted on head-fi earlier this year during the summer sale, or the pics posted on anythingbutipod.com last spring.

Head-Direct RE0 Review

But I guess you can't listen to the box, so no point flogging this. The RE0, however, are a pleasant surprise right out of the package. Very nice SQ, even w/o burn-in. Only physical difference is that my unit has an L-plug instead of the straight 3.5mm shown in the earlier pics.

Hi everyone! I am certainly not an audiophile but I do enjoy quality sounding music and am looking for some new headphones for less than $100.

Would these be a good choice for use while working out? Do they fall out of your ear easily or are they pretty snug? Thanks for any input

Fit depends on the tips but I wouldn't recommend them for exercising.

I got them yesterday - they were delivered at 9 pm! Weird oO
Anyhow, I'm listening to them right now with the white tips .. so far, so good. Good detail, good separation, better soundstage than my E4 without sounding "distant". Less bass than my E4 though, but that may change with burn-in.
I'm very happy atm

Still looking for weaknesses.

Edit: Just changed the tips. I still like the white double-flange one best. Am I doing something wrong? Most people opt for the black ones... :<

different people have different preferences ;p i liked the black ones but they were pretty difficult to get on if u ever had to take them off. they were just more comfortable than the double flange but i moved on to olives :]

I did a search and it turns out I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Plus I see quite a few people complaining about long shipping times. Their earphones might be really good but their shipping so far looks very subpar. Gonna email them.

Mine also went through the sorting centre in Shanghai twice.. I'm guessing the first sorting center is the post office, while the second is customs? Anyways, mine is finally in Toronto.. should get it today or tomorrow.

Mine showed up two days ago. My thoughts are in line with what folks have said before: tight sound, forward mids, a little thin on the bass. I find using the cross feed feature in RockBox makes for a fuller sound without taking much from the detailed sound.

These are a great pair of earphones for $79. I may have to get me a backup pair.

+1 on crossfeed.

I kept getting headaches while using my 2 week old RE0 until I tried them with my rockboxed 5.5gen ipod (which I hadn't used in a couple of months). Not sure what is going on. I don't normally use crossfeed. It is the reason I bought an ipod that could be rockboxed, but I found I didn't like it with my other phones.
