It's absolutely terrible. Commercial after commercial, then ""you guys used to be very extreme and death metal, but there is more mellow stuff on teh new album," and "how do you do both the clean singing and the death growls? drink a lot of tea or something?" hah, try "drink a lot of vodka and smoke a lot of cigs."

I used to think grand conjuration is a bad song, but its better than anything else i've seen so far.

Again listening to Ram-Zet - Intra, while waiting DB - Stormblåst 2005 cd+dvd to come out. My guess is that at least Enverxis and roadtonowhere should check this stuff out. Why? It's kind of heavier&faster Tool with B&B vocals and violins. I somehow have a need to promote this band, as I consider Intra one of the top 10 metal releases of 2005, and even in Finland no one seems to have heard it. Maybe it's just too hard to get in to for most.

Missed the show but was the VJ that Jamie guy from Hatebreed? Sounds like the typical lame questions......

HBB show is about 40% commercials and 60% music videos (90% of videos are lame USA nu metal/hardcore groups) so only a few minutes of quality during entire 1 hr show

How was video for Opeth "grand conjurgation"?

Nacher
I will definitely get remastered Dimmu Bogir "stormblast"........did you say bonus DVD included?

Missed Opeth again........

Was flipping channels last night and saw they were studio guest on FUSE Metal Aslym show with metal chix VJ Julya at 11-11:30pm EST. Just caught last 5 minutes, had entire band in studio and actually had intelligent discussion going on.

Some new CDs have arrived:
Old Mans Child - Vermin
Enslavement of Beauty - Traces of Red
Sear Bliss - The Haunting
Dark Fortress - Tales From Eternal Dusk
Dark Fortress - Profane Genocidal Creations

Release date 11/9/05 (USA 2/7/06)
New Stormblast is not remaster but complete new recording and production with current band members including Hellhammer (Mayhem) on drum kit, features two new songs, 5 videos.

The bonus DVD is an entire live set from Ozzfest tour last year!
(not sure if this is 5 videos listed in tracks or additional)

Check it out........
Dimmu

Enverxis, not sure if Ram-Zet can be obtained from Australia, hmm. It's released by Tabu Records, same which released Enslaved - Isa, if I remember correctly? I suppose the end at least stocks it.

First listen of Stormblåst 2005 going now, and so far I really like it. I especially liked the new title song, the ending simply rocks, heh. Most of the songs sound quite modiified and re-arranged, though I haven't memorized the original tracks, but the production is totally from another planet. This is either good or bad, depending how tr00 the listener is. I really like these DCA-style sounds, which actually on this album have a very audible bass for a BM record. The drums sound great too, though the album booklet says drums played by Tony Laureano... why was every site claiming that Hellhammer plays on this? Well, whoever plays the drums, he seriously did a good job there.

What is on the bonus DVD?
Is it the five tracks listed as videos or is DVD additional material?

Yes, the five video tracks : Spellbound By The Devil, Vredsbyrd, Kings of Carnival Creation, Prophecies of the Great Apocalypse and Mourning Palace. The DVD is of very high quality, much better than the World Misanthropy DVD.

Edit : It's their ozzfest performance in full.

Solefald – “Red for Fire: An Icelandic Odyssey Part 1”

I just got this in the mail yesterday, and I have to say I am REALLY impressed. I wasn’t sure what to expect on this one considering how much Solefald’s sound changed between Pills for Ageless Ills and In Harmonia Universali. Once again their style has changed, and in my opinion it is for the better. If I were to compare it to I.H.U., Red for Fire stacks up like this: more melodic, much heavier, better vocals, and MUCH more focused. Overall I would say that this one will easily make it into my top 5 metal albums of the year (unless a few really brilliant albums come out in the next month and a half.)

Brilliant avant-garde BM. Get it if you can find it.
