Darkest Desires PART THREE

Dec 14, 2003 at 3:47 PM Post #376 of 671
I must point out that the 1st two releases are not really metal albums, but more hard rock, or just plain rock. They don't become a true folk metal band until the 3rd release. One only needs to compare the clips, to get this but I needed to point that out.

I finally picked up the new Voivod, I really like it. It feels a bit more "Hard Rock" than Metal. But it's a solid album. Jason Newstead on bass and Snake back on vox, I am very happy.

How about "Direct Metal Mastering"? An European company (IIRC) had Metallica's "Master of Puppets" in four 45's. I really wanted to get that one, but settled for a cassette instead

. Anyway, I wonder if there was any advantage on having an album splitted into 45's.

I'm fine............................... thanks for asking.

I like your new avatar.

I made an order from the end yesterday. Unfortunately the CD I really wanted wasn't in stock. It was Old Mans Child - Revelation 666.
I ordered an Ancient CD and another Therion, and something else I can't think of right now.

I recently ordered NIGHTWISH box set 1 & 3, remastered versions. Hopefully sound has been improved especially the bright treble.

I know these are not "troo" dark metal..........but they are kinda fun (even if dangerously similar to ABBA at times
