Both Silentium albums? They have released 3 + the EP. Albums being "Sufferion harmatia of prudence", "Altum" and "Infinita Plango Vulnera"

As a side note, I just ordered Crimson 2. Should be here on friday. I have no icea how I am supposed to afford the 17euro bill, but I think that in the end, it's more important that I have that album

Edit : I may stop eating for a few days or something...

There it sat, and I remembered you mentioned it. I listened to it a bit, not sure yet, bit of a mixed bag. I like to give music a chance to grow on me. Not everything is best on first listen.

Slightly off the topic, what cans do you all like to use for the music we're discussing?

Nice! I've eyeballed the HD600 a few times, but since I do a lot of my music listening at work, a closed phone is best. Maybe I'll keep an eye on the GFS forum here, when people start selling off their 600's to buy 650's

I think HD-600 really do excel in metal. Haven't compared them to the more expensive phones though, but the sr-60 - sr-325 range grados seem to be way too harsh sounding for metal.

I notice a lot of people go the after-market cable route with the HD-600's, are the stock cables that bad, or just not as good as the after-market?

Also what are we all using for sources

The stock cables are crap, well you will notice this once you use an after market cable.

New cds were released today :

ULVER - Svidd Neger

By the time of ULVER’s 2002 Norwegian Grammy nomination for the soundtrack to the Swedish short film LYCKANTROPEN, the group had been widely recognized by the movie industry in Norway, resulting in numerous invitations to paint the canvas with their music. SVIDD NEGER was the first million dollar project sponsored by the new Norwegian Film Fund under the direction of Erlend Loe, a best-selling author and notorious polemic figure in the fatherland. It is ULVER’s first full feature film score; and note not the last. Both screenplay writer and director insisted on the peripheral power ULVER for music to their borderline cinema. The soundtrack CD is a crystal selection from ULVER's filthy and fragmented body for the film, reworked and compiled for the listening blind. More elaborate than its predecessor it is built on extensive layers of symphonic, ambient and electronic paranoia.

MISTRESS - ST

In the midst of their new release "II: The Chrovisior," Rage Of Achilles (distributed by The End Records) re-introduces the debut Mistress album full of pure sickness and depravity. From the writhing social underbelly of darkest Birmingham, England, they bring forth monstrous slabs of monolithic grinding doom sludge and drunken chaos.

Pulverizing heavy, mixing the agonizing slow mammoth sounds with blast-beat fury. Featuring the barbarian drums and throat-slashed vocals of the mighty black metal overlords Anaal Nathrakh, this is set to seek and destroy.

The band is making a strong name for itself as have toured with Bolt Thrower, Eyehategod, Clutch, Napalm Death and Electric Wizard.

Amazing press feedback!!! It was also voted in the Top Ten Albums Of 2002 by Terrorizer Magazine.

DSG (David Shankle Group) - Ashes To Ash

From 1988 to 1995 David Shankle was the strings that lead the loudest band on earth, Manowar. After leaving the band David returned to music school and with his education in classical and jazz under his belt has returned to teach the world the glory of his new music. It’s not only David’s incredibly fast riffs, it’s not only the grand musical epics, but the flawless presentation of the extraordinary skills the musicians have in common that will make this a truly classic debut album

DRACONIAN - Where Lovers Mourn

Fans of beauty and the beast genre this is for you! Draconian debut release on Napalm records delivering 8 tracks (the first one clocking over 12 minutes) of epic, melodic progressive doom with lots of Angelic female vocals blends with growly – evil black-ish patterns
This album reminds us a Therion inspired version of Tristiania Era “Widow’s Weed” GREAT!!!

BLIND COLONY - Divine DIGIPAK

Gotta love those Swedish newcomers, from the land of endless creativity comes BLINDED COLONY; a 5 piece melodic death metal machine that delivers the same caliber of bands like Soilwork, Darkane, Defaced, Mercenary etc...
The music can be described as dark melodic death metal with strong keyboard passages, clean and growling vocal patterns.
First pressing comes as deluxe digipak

ATTILA CSIHAR - The Best Of...

A compilation / tribute release for Attila Csihar on the renewed Cacophonous records. This compilation covering 15 years retrospect from the mystic Hungarian vocalist archives, featuring tracks by Aborym, Plasma Pool, Tormentor, Korog, Anaal Nathrakh, Mayhem, Professor Hate, Limbonic Art and Emperor
Also featuring tons of rare / un released material and super cool booklet with lots of photos
