Well I took DA's advice and picked up a pile of Arch Enemy CDs (well ok Stigmata and Black Death), I'll post my impressions here. Waiting on Wages of Sin from The End.

Yesssssssssss...........these are very good, however these are pre Angela Gassow and feature male death vocal treatment.

Yeah i think I like the vocals with the new singer a bit better, but not by much. Still kind of amazes me that a woman is making those sounds.
