The latest update fixes some bugs with Android syncing. I am still looking for an Astell and Kern user to connect me so we can see if this new batching of Sync commands helps those DAPs keep up. Please DM me.
I have a FiiO X1 (1st gen) and Sony NW-A35 which are almost always out of date with my iTunes library and which also have none of my cherished playlists. It's always been my biggest gripe since my iPod Classic went kaput -- that modern DAPs have so many advantages (better SQ, high-res support) yet stink at one of the most basic things: syncing to iTunes.
I just bought this insanely well conceived software after a tip from another Head-Fi member (in May 2017!) in the Cayin N3 thread, watching the developer's YouTube tutorial videos, and then reading this entire thread and observing the extraordinary support and responsiveness to users by the developer. Also, he puts out great new features frequently, and responded (usually with news of a fix) to the very few poor reviews (among a sea of 5-star reviews) in the Mac App Store.
At $19.99, for the value it offers -- insanely good deal.
Done just now! I assume it has to be approved by Apple or something since I don't see it up yet.
But, kudos for great development and support of this awesome product. I've got a Cayin N3 on the way from Amazon now and I now know, after having successfully synced my FiiO X1 1st gen and Sony NW-A35, that getting my music on the N3 will be a breeze.
It's also eased my mind that my brother will be able to use it to sync a DAP he might be getting from me at some point in the near future as a gift. One reason I'd never considered anything not Apple (for him) is that nothing synced well and so seamlessly with iTunes as Apple iPods and iPhones. This software changes the game!
As an FYI, I tried removing the setup "wizard" at the start of Dapper and replace it with popover hints... to be more "native"... and it just didn't seem to be enough to make sure users were up and running and understood some of that was happening.
Would it be possible for app to detect LoRes vs HiRes files and only sync the HiRes version. If not, could there be an option to separate where the different files are saved?
LoRes copies are needed for iTunes/iDevice purposes that don't naturally play HiRes music, but obviously duplicates are not warranted.
Separate Res locations would make it easier to find all HiRes music in a large database.
Just added support for:
AK70II - Works ok but sync is SLOW... crappy CPU
AK15Norma - Works great! First good DAP by Astell and Kern that syncs in one shot!
Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[__NSArrayM objectAtIndex:]: index 0 beyond bounds for empty array'
terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
abort() called
Do you know why this happens - the OK button has disappeared? Using 4.22 but oddly I had to install the Apple store version, it hadn't updated itself (was still on 4.19). Not sure if that's anything to do with it...
I've suddenly started experiencing Dapper crashing every single time it starts up.
I've tried doing a full uninstall (using the instructions on your site). It works the first time the App is opened but it then goes back to crashing every single time it opens.
