I just grazed the Japanese hi-fi websites and found some more images. This site says it's a tube amp!

I see it has a 4.4mm analog input like the K9. I really want to know if this signal stays analog, or does it convert to digital and go through their DSP.
I've seen several recent devices that do this and I don't like it....

Hi, when the EQ is off, it's analog input and analog output, without going through the DSP; when the EQ is on, the analog input convert to the digital signal, then pass through the DSP, and decoded by the DAC before outputting.

@FiiO , It was mentioned earlier that the K17 would have some form of wireless streaming capabilities. Are these limited to bluetooth input only? Or does the K17 also have wifi capabilities. If that is the case, would this also mean native Spotify/Tidal/Qobuz/Apple Music? Or DLNA/UPNP only?

I think it's about time to reveal full specs and release date I have high hopes on this unit to sound more musical, powerful and less sterile, analytical or dry . There are many new devices released with akm4499ex dac, but very few of them sound "correct". Many things there depend on higher quality amplification components being used inside device.

I don't think that reply addressed the tube issue. It refers to how analog input signals are processed through the RCA and 4.4 inputs. I assume it would apply to the K9, which is SS.
