Hey guys,

Been lurking around these forums and learned quite a bit. But now I want some opinions on amping the HD650s. I currently already have the HD650s and FiiO E17+E90K, but now want something better. Looking to sell the E17+E90K to fund the next equipment. I have a budget of about $1000. I also have a Arcam rDac powering my speakers, so I could use that as a DAC, but am open to buying another DAC as well. I have listened to the Schiit Asgard + Lyr and they sound amazing compared to the FiiOs, so those are what I'm learning towards.

Looks like the Arcam rDac uses a single WM8741 DAC chip, maybe sell off the Arcam rDAC & E17/E09K.

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 DAC/Amp ($255+shipping), comes with dual WM8741 DAC chips and a headphone amplifier that easily drives my 600-Ohm headphones.
Also comes with a separate line-out feature.
I've been using mine for 3 weeks, no regrets.

Audio-GD NFB-11.32 DAC/Amp($340+shipping), comes with a single ES9018 DAC chip, other wise the same as the 15.32.

You're pedaling the NFB like it's going out of style :)

Seriously though, it's a great unit.  I have the previous generation that I use with HD600's and it's wonderful.  I recently upgraded to a Crack and use the Audio-GD unit as a straight DAC.  It's a great combo.

Yep, I'm a Audio-GD pusher, would be nice if Schiit offered some thing like the NFB-15.32 or 11.32

I agree.  It's an extremely versatile unit (sounds great too!)
