Nice review. Thanks for posting.

Yes, great review!  This is very consistent with my listening as well.  Have you tried other cables with the CL's?  I'd be very interested in hearing how that changes the overall slight downward tilt these tend to exhibit.

Thanks again!!

Got mine from MD too.  Preliminarily after about 72 hours break-in:  I don't find them dark.  And not rolled on the top either. Just balanced, clear and grainless sound.  There is a slight emphasis on the mid/upper bass and a tactility to the sound which gives each instrument/voice great definition. <snip>

Tell us more about this break-in.  Did you just leave them playing off ear, or did you listen?  How did they compare post-break in to when you first got them?  I've prob played mine a total of 4 hours, do I need to just leave them on like I would a new speaker?

Also, do you have other cables you can swap in? Would love to get your impression of any changes to the overall character based on that too!

Yeah, more or less left it playing continuously through an old receiver, but periodically raised and lowered the volume.  BA iems don't/shouldn't really "break-in", probably more electrical; wiring and connection/solder/compression joints break-in.  And of course we become familiar with the sound break-in.  To a lesser degree there will be a little variation from iem to iem.  Don't want to get into the merits/demerits of cable swapping, other than to say that all silver wiring usually will give a subtle leaning/cleaner sound (at the expense of tone), which might be a good thing if you find it a bit dark.  The bigger difference in changes to the sound will be trying out the different ear tips or other types of tips you may have from other iems.  For instance, I find the supplied light grey tips don't seal well at all and used a pair of Comply TS400 large size that gave a great seal and sounded like the silicon but with more highs.

Last night I tried a triple flange tip,  I believe they were these.
I cut off the stem at  the bottom of the bottom flange to shorten them a tad, as otherwise they are to long.

To my ears, this brings out the bottom end without any bloat, but keeps the mids and highs of the supplied light grey tips that I had good luck with.  The seal with these triple flange tips is quite good.

Very helpful.  Yes, on my home stereo system I have done much experimenting with Silver vs Copper vs Silver over Copper speaker cables. Even "shotguning" a copper and silver.  All with very different sound.

As for the iems, i'd give up a little of the body for clear, clean hights.  Soon enough my old ears won't be able to hear up there anyway, so might as well enjoy while I can :-)

I will test out the Silver Dragons from Moon and post my impressions.  But, in the meanwhile, I will try some tip changes to see what differences I hear...

Thank you kindly. I have not tried any other cables. I am planning on acquiring the [pearl] iem upgrade cable from EffectAudio. It looks sexy and I hope will add the qualities silver is known for to the c6iem.

Interesting. I REALLY hate the sponge tips - seems that I have to roll and insert 2-3 times before I get a good seal (is there a trick??). I would much prefer a good silicon solution if I can!
