I mainly lurk around the fullsize headphone sub-forum, which has ended up in me buying two sets of cans - haha.
 
But I need a portable pair now, don't feel the need to walk around with xb500/ad700's on.
So I've narrowed it down to these two, and there isn't really much talk between the two, which is better for what etc. considering they are very close in terms of price. I'm going to be buying them at bestbuy so please don't reccommend something that i wouldn't be able to purchase there.
 
Now, for someone who loves punchy bass, that also loves to be able to pick apart the instruments in a orchestrated piece, which would be the better iem's to buy??

I haven't heard the CX model but I think the SE215 will be more to your liking based on what I have read about the CX and what I hear with the SE215. The bass is a bit heavy with them but the CX300 is supposed be pretty boomy and dark I believe which is not what the SE215 is like at all.
