Totally. However, the UPS guy turned up today, and I took a deep breath and swallowed my anger, and handed over the cash to get my tiny but expensive envelope (surely more expensive than gold, pound for pound!), and set about whittling the ends to make them fit my 4Rs. And it works really well! The pins are tight and secure, exactly the right length to allow the two plastic surfaces to meet and seal, and the iPhone controls do everything I need (stop/start/next/previous/volume/answer/hangup). So I'm broke, but happy. Thanks a lot again for the advice.
