Was it released on march? Damn, the J3 hasn't hit Sweden until recently. Basically I'm looking for a release in 6-8 months :frowning2:

I think the J3 got its FCC approval somwhere around 14th January 2010. It was released 29th March. I think we will have this device somewhere around the end of October.

The release date was from Korea... Personally I was thinking about buying it over Ebay from some Korean seller (the X7). I cannot wait for the release in Europe, because this needs much more time.

I hope that it will be a portable player, not transportable.
I mean, there are 5" HDD-based devices (Cowon A3 for example) with sole purpose of playing video... it would be of no interest if cowon releases such a monster.

It seems that the x7 needed some approval for the korean launch. Well the x7 got it. Also they talk about the 80GB version. Seems to be the start version. I hope there will be some with a bigger hd.

80gb is a hell of a lot of music when you consider it wasn't all that long ago we'd go out with a single disc in our discman or a single cassette in our walkman. 80gb of FLAC is something like 200-250 albums.

I'd be more than happy with 80gb. Anything over that for me wouldn't be worth it unless price wasn't somehow affected.

But I hope they make compatibility with mac a LOT LOT better. I don't expect ipod-level compatible but at least not bricking during drag&drop
