So I've seen some really cool amps and digital sources.

Any cool looking preamps?

Supratek has always been on the top of my list as far as looks go. They also have a stellar reputation for performance and great sound so it's not all window dressing.

That really is a work of art. If I could get one of the tube builders to make me a clone look-alike I'd be sold. Damn I hate it when I see all this lovely gear so far out of my price league it makes me sick. Blast them all.

8k, yeah that is a lot! Any others? I'm curious. I think I maybe in the market for a preamp (though coolness factor is lower on my list, oh, and so is 8k).

$8000???? When I click on the link, it says US$2800.00. I would call that a very nice price for this lovely a preamp, IF the performance it truly excellent. And about that headphone jack, WHY dosent it have one, the HEATHENS!

The model in question is called "The Grange", If you go to this link http://www.supratek.biz/preamp.htm andscale down about 9/10 of the way you will find it. You might be mistaking it for the very similar looking chrome colored Syrah with PSU that goes for $2500, which looks alllllmost as good.

I think the BAT boxes all look gorgeous. A glass top wouldn't hurt, this preamp in particular looks gorgeous inside too:
