lol, i agree that i think he has a history of breaking things, but he must have really mistreated the shures for them to break in less than a day.
 
i don't own these headphones though so i can't comment on their build quality but it sounds like you got a dud

My Turbines are 6 months old and my SE215s are over a month old and I don't seem to be having any issues with build quality. As mark2410  said, I think you should treat them a bit differently.
