B&W p7 has PRaT, and lots of it. Probably my favorite vs pm-3, M2, t51i

I didn't find P7's to have good PRaT, possibly due to the exaggerated low bass, and the original Momentum was very poor at this (I've yet to find the M2's).  The PM-3's are the best PRaT I've heard in a portable so far. As good as the AKG K550, nearly up there with the HD-800, and definitely more portable.

Thanks for all the responses.

Think I am down to the Momentum 2's or the PM-3.

Which out of these carries the bottom end better.

I would also like to use these when I play my Roland drum set.

For what it's worth, I feel the denon mm400's have fantastic PRaT, definitely ad much as the pm-3's do. The bass is really nice and punchy without being exaggerated in any way as well. Pm-3 has slightly more exaggerated bass than the denons and then the m2's have more than those again if what I've read about them is true (I've got the mm400's and pm-3's, sold my p7's for the mm400's). The denons really are a fantastic set of cans.

The OPPO PM-3 arrived today after a shipping debacle. Time to listen....will say the packaging in minimalistic, but you can see the quality in the actual hp upon first glance.

Sennheiser HD25 Is missing on this list

Absolute classic. Will still be around when every headphone on here is dead, buried and forgotten about.

Try the the HD25 'aluminium' pads feel and look like fine leather, I wear mine for hours with zero discomfort and for me (barring slightly narrow sound stage improved with the right amp ie Voyager)) perfect sound. Built and designed to to last a lifetime.

+1

Looking forward to the comparisons against the X2 and M2 since I have those headphones as well.

Yes...ok. I think I have a pretty formidable lineup at the moment. I need to listen to the OPPO some more.
