Sorry, dude, you got it wrong. What you have is .wv files http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WavPack and you need .wav files http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WAV - you're using the wrong format. If you want the C3 to play 24-bit files or you just want to use wav for your other files - you need to chose the WAVE option in your converter not WavPack

thanks, that helps, stupid me. i am OSX and use mainly flac, alac and ape but have very few in wv too.

btw, tried today Jazz EQ setting on C3 with amping ... nice but trebles become more digital with this. went back to neutral setting, still best for me.

Just got my new Colorfly C3.
After comparing Colorfly C3 with Sansa Fuze and iPod Classic 5th Generation, I would say C3 sounds very much better than the other two players.
However sometimes, I found the microSD card is very difficult to be ejected due to design flaw of the casing in C3.
If Colorfly can make the hole slightly bigger then it should improve this problem.
Overall I would say C3 is a good audio player.

Is that unamped? with small inear phones or big headphones? Btw is it cumbersome to turn volume up and down?
thx
Carsten

Yes, it is unamped and listened with low impedance headphones like AKG K550, Beyerdynamic DT880 and IEM Shure SE215.The sound stage and the instrument/vocal separation are excellent and the sound is extremely clean with no hiss. No problem for me to turn the volume up or down on the touch screen display. However the UI is very simple (don't expect it is as efficient as Sansa Fuze) and the display is too small. No custom EQ is available.

To those who recently bought the C3 for a very cheap price of around $40-45, (from this seller http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-COLORFLY-C3-24bit-WAV-APE-FLAC-HiFi-Music-Player-with-retail-box-/230916561091?pt=UK_Music_Other_Music_Formats_ET&hash=item35c3b318c3&_uhb=1#ht_4382wt_906), has yours been shipped yet?

Haven't asked, giving them a few more days as I had bought mine just under three days ago. I'm more of after those who bought it when it was cheaper, which was only two-four people from the Head-Fi community, as there's should've been shipped since it's been 3 days+.
