It does sound great. I bought mine for half that price recently. ;)

Have you auditioned the C3 against more expensive players?

I wonder if those players would be a waste of money since the C3 sounds that good already, when paired with a good pair of headphones. I mean, Would the sound in a more expensive player be maybe 25% better? Probably not worth it, right?

*** Other than KOSS KSC75 ear clip headphones, What are some other perfectly matched ones for the C3.

I had X3 2nd gen for about 8 months since i got C3...
C3 makes X3ii sounds boring with narrow soundstage and lifeless sound..
Not easy to find C3s transparency and sparkle in much more expensive players ..i was even thinking about getting a second C3 for the possibility of the first one break down...so excited i was i cant really listen anymore to X3 2nd gen since C3 reached my ear canals:stuck_out_tongue:
Yesterday i tried to pair fiio E12A amp with C3 to see how that combo works....
Needless to say...E12A completely ruined C3s magic. ...
I bought E12A for about 130 £ and it is supposed to be top tier at this price range specialized for iem use but C3 still overthrows that too....
I use mostly dunu dn2000, fidue A73,and recently LZA4 all iems sound amazing with C3....
I am so overall happy with the sound that i bought C200 from Colorfly too...
C3 is an amazing dap that easily overthrows other twice and more that price daps in the market...
One great combo recently discovered that preserve C3s overall transparency is C3 & bluebird U3.6 amp...A winner there:

Thanks for telling me about the X3II, my neighbor is addicted to his... I'll let him hear my C3 sometime, and hopefully he becomes hooked too! You make me want to buy a 2nd C3 as well. I wonder how long batteries last on the shelf?

It's pretty funny to see you using so many expensive IEM's on your $50 C3. I just bought a pair of Somic v4's for $20 US and that's all I can afford. Enjoy your large wallet and expensive IEM's ;).

Thanks for being a part of our active C3 community.

Can you comment on how the C200 compared to C3 sounds?
Cheers

I sure will do so man...after having C200 charged download the official firmware from COLORFLY site and load some tracks on C200..
It is though a big step in cost... from C3 to C200(200$) and there is one review at least from twisted6 on head fi till now...BUT have figured out(before making out my mind and buy C200...) that C200 is a seriously underestimated brilliant dap(this mainly due to retro design and UI functionality issues) and using ES9018 High Res dac-chip there is an accomplishment from COLORFLY. ..
I ll post here during the week my initial thoughts regarding C3 and C200 comparison and let you know there...
Allready a big accomplishment for COLORFLY to release an affordable dap as C3 with such a great sound though...
Thats why i am waiting many more from C200 here...
Lastly i have to repeat for one more time for anyone out there... that X1,X3ii or even X5ii (which i have also heard) cannot compete with C3's sound aesthetics at all....C3 = concert hall experience. ..:sunglasses:

My C3 is acting weird... when charging. It started cycling the screen up and down like the buttons were being pressed, the lighted screen kept going on and off. Now it's blank and can't be turned on, and looks like it's still charging after 4 hours. Is this all abnormal?

MY C3 IS DEAD. THIS SUCKS! I AM CONTACTING COLORFLY.

It looks like it's back on now.

Something is seriously wrong with my C3. It has turned back on but the screen keeps cycling up and down and lights keep going on and off.

I stuck the end the sharp end of a button clasp in the small hole above the USB plug and things seem back to normal for now... if it keeps continuing, I'll use a sledge hammer on the C3 to show who's boss.

Lucky. Things are back to normal now. It started acted weird when I was charging it. I wonder if it's my USB plug that I stick to a wall outlet? Maybe it needs to be charged connected to a computer only?

I'm looking forward to this comparison too! There's hardly anything about the C200 out there, not in English at least.
In fact, I'm (still) looking for anything that could be a reasonable successor to my C3 in terms of sound.

Lucky you! My C3's display is still dead.
I charged mine using a wall outlet USB adapter (and no... it didn't get zapped that way).

The best successor in terms of sound, of the C3, is another C3. ;)

I have a feeling C3 doesn't like to be charged by wall adapters... hopefully, others will let us know if this is true or not.

May your C3 RIP in Music Heaven.

Thanks, I had that feeling... :/

I really don't know if it was the wall adapter that zapped mine (though it would be helpful to know before I plunge on my next C3...)
It had in fact been some time since I last charged mine - I even wondered if it could be hungry but gently feeding it a bit more juice didn't help either.

I would use a different USB charging adapter altogether. Buy a reputable brand one or just charge it with a computer.

How long have you owned yours for and how long was it sitting around for?

I let mine die by accident, and that's when the problems started happening... and I just bought it. I read one review on Amazon via Google and one person said they charge it everyday.
