By mesh, do you mean you like the way it looked pre-cloth treatment?

They sound pretty much like the KSC75 does, which is a great thing. I think the added distance from the ear leaned the bass ever so slightly, but that also is welcome since they were a little bass heavy. Comfort level is through the roof compared to the ear clips, though I hate ear clips almost as much as I hate earbuds.

Now I need to just do the Left cup! Right now it is sans-cup:

Wow! The sound of the KSC-75 with the comfort of something like the Triport. I'll bet they sound better than the Triport and are as comfortable. You could start a business selling these to people as a better sounding Triport alternative.

And in response to the non-Coby version...apparenly Coby or not, the going price is $8!

You know if the stock Coby CV-160 are as bad as you say, i'm thinking of picking up a pair. Then every time some idiot says "why did you spend so much on a pair of headphones?" i'll make him listen to these first, then my good phones.

That is a good plan. Because they REALLY suck. Though make sure the 'mark' does not know what the KSC35 or 75 are, because they will really screw up your high dollar headphone justification!

Oh and thanks Kramer!

They sound decent.

I have found that I don't really use them though. It was a fun little project, but honestly they can't compare to my K601 or HF-1. Though to be honest they do sound different than both. Much more bass than the K601, maybe less than the HF-1 (midbass at least). Somewhat soft highs. A little stuffy in the midrange. To be honest I think they need to be more open.
