hiliDAC BEAM 2S and S9 Pro can natively be used on iPhones. Since they are Female receptacle USB type unlike PEE51, B1 or DC04. BEAM 2S comes with a Lightning cable included

BEAM2S only loses on outright driving power to S9 Pro. Check again the first page and you will see the difference. Very marginal difference. Otherwise I personally prefer the polished presentation of BEAM 2S when used with ER4SR, TIN HiFi P1, Shure KSE1500, Monolith M565c and Heart Mirror. But really at this level both are already outstanding hence both are 5 Stars performers in my book

Completed the remaining 5 dongles and officially the total count now is 46 overall.

Changes done to reflect some re-tests:
- TANCHJIM STARGATE iOS now adjusted to 96/100. Apparently The Stargate does drive TIN HiFi P1 beautifully albeit needing 75-85/100 volume
- Meizu HiFi Audio Pro received some boost to score 90/100 now. Same reasons as the STARGATE

Thanks. It was painful as it is fun for me to do this. From my personal standpoint the CX31993 is a very special gem. Among the very few that I have decided to keep for myself. And me ironically being a minimalist I keep only 6 of the over 40 dongles

Exactly the reason why I'm curious with CX31993 and decide to get it.. I could not find any reference about the chip.. And Conexant as company have been disolved to Synaptics the new owner..

So it could be the last gem that Conexant made before they went out as audio chip company.. In such the case, the stock supply of CX31993 would be limited.. (Maybe a lot just like Tripath chip amp, but still limited )

quick update... I got my dongle two days ago but can only open it yesterday.... this is good stuff... meanwhile burn it as my background music and hopefully have time to compare with other DAC in a day or two...

Haha. I know this is pushing too hard for a dongle. I just want to have full sized planar headphones, but I just dont have any room left in my desk for a desktop amp.

I thought you were only going to keep 3? Anyway, may I know which 6 dongles you're keeping? I know the Ovidius B1 is one of them, as well as the DC04 & Beam 2S. Correct?
