Closed Headphones that Sound like HD650?

I am in the same boat. Have the HD650s and I love the sound. But the leak a bit too much for office use, So I am looking for something that sounds similar but doesnt leak as much which means closed.
Is there something in the sub $500 range that does that. What about the sennheiser 380 pros?
How do they compare to the beyer custom one? Are they real alternatives to the HD650s?

Or should I just stop looking and save up for some $500+ ones?

The beyerdynamic dt150 gets compared to the hd600s a lot on here:

Theres also the nad viso hp50

I have demoed both the viso hp50 and the momentums, And although they both sound pretty good I don't think they come close to what my
HD650s delivers.
The beyer dt150 sounds interesting, Can't find them at a local store though, so no chance to demo them. And altough I don't really worry much about looks they are quite ugly imo :p
Same story with the alpha dogs, no shops have them, and for that much money I don't want to just shop blindly.
I wish there was a serious headfi shop in my city.

Try the DT-250 (250 Ohm version).

So, after having read more of that thread, I am very tempted to just get these, They are very cheap I would say if they deliver what it looks like from the impressions.

As much as I love my DT150, it's not a closed back HD650. The treble on the HD650 is smoother, and the overall sound is more forgiving to poorer recorded/mastered music. HD650 is also better in hiding sibilance.
HD650 has a unique sound signature that I haven't found in a closed back yet.
But maybe you can try a ZMF.

Is that the only difference between the DT150 and DT250? The resistance?

No, they are entitely different headphones, both in build and sound.
See the above mentioned DT150 thread (in the beginning of the thread they are compared).

I guess finding a closed back 650 is a tall order, I will probably enjoy a different headphone more anyway. And I'll just have to settle for a different sound at work. Also it might make me apriciate the HD650s in a new way, Having listened to something else all day.
Would you say they are in the same category as far as overall sound quality goes though? In that case they are very good value it looks like.

Sound quality is rather subjective and depending on other gear like source and amp. So I honestly can't say anything about that.
I loved the HD650 a lot, but couldn't live with the clamping force on my head. And I need closed headphones. I'm happy with the ones I have now. I guess I'm done
