(Dang, I haven't hung out here in a while and it looks like the IEM comparison threads are outdated.)

My Hifiman RE-600s recently bit the dust so I guess it's time for me to move on. I am looking for a new set and the shorthand term people use for the kind I like is "clinical." I like accuracy above all else. I've liked IEMs that weren't considered "fun" to listen to. Go figure.

I'd rank the qualities I like:
accuracy > spacious soundstage > isolation > sensitivity > smooth bass/mids

Some of this may seem contradictory, but, well, that's that I guess. You'll also note no mention of highs in there: my ears are toast. I can't hear anything above 15k, pretty much. My ears are very good with loud and quiet, though, so sensitivity is important.

Budget right now isn't too high: a few hundred dollars I'd say.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Micah

Hmmm. Maybe check out the RHA T20, Ety ER4S, Dunu DN-1000, and FIdue A83. If you can stretch your budget, you could get into a Campfire Orion, which is really terrific. Maybe read about these and see what you think. It's possible one could work for you.
