Another thing with the xDSD used as a DAC for a desktop setup is that there is plenty of squealing if you turn the volume way up on your amplifier. This isn't really a practical issue at normal volumes, as far as I can tell. But it was really disappointing that even my smartphone output was very quiet at max volume on the amplifier, whereas the xDSD couldn't manage that.
I am using campfire IO which has a peak in the upper mids. Looking for a warm dacamp to smooth and make the mids less aggresive. Which out of the two should i opt for? Xdsd or chord mojo ?

I'd call the sound from the Mojo very smooth and fluid, which makes it also sound warmer.
But I would not expect any DAC to significantly change the sound signature of an IEM, except maybe for influences of the output imepdance.
The IO gets very mixed reviews, if you don't like the signature you might be better off trading them in for another model that suits your taste better.
