I think it probably gets ignored by the most of us, but there is some utility to it. PWAudio and DDhifi make adapters that turn the 2 3.5's into a single 4.4. Note that this doesn't make the amp balanced and is more about convenience of not having to swap cables. I use the PWAudio adapters for both my Mojo 2 and Hugo 2, which means that I can buy 4.4 terminated cables without worrying about compatibility with my other dacs/amps.

I'm sure there are some of us out there that use both outputs and listen to music with a friend/spouse/partner. I've certainly never done that. And both headphones/earphones would have to be close in efficiency/resistance in order to not have a large volume mismatch.

I never knew those adapters existed! I've just updated all my cables to 4.4 and Mojo 2 has stayed in the draw since, definitely grabbing one, how come the PWAudio one is so expensive compared with the DDhifi one?

FYI, my DDhifi model fell apart after minimal use. I suppose I can glue it back together, but I haven't bothered... I'm just using a simple pigtail adapter for now (FiiO LL-4.4M)...

They claim their wiring is sonically superior. I wouldn't do the 1960 version. I have the regular PW audio adapter and can say it is solid and well built. I think it's worth the extra $$$.

I’d be curious what the DDHifi adapter looks like inside - could you snap a pic if you have a moment?

6 wires, nothing electronic, just the plugs.

I use the ddHiFi one daily without issue. Packs easy and looks nice too. I'm a fan. Couldn't say why the other one is more expensive. It's a simple adapter (or should be). Both adapters claim to work identically. Only difference I can guess is that the PW Audio one used to be the only game in town before ddHiFi came out with theirs.

Looking at the internals of the DDhifi - if you're handy with the sodering iron, looks like it could be an easy upgrade on the wiring. You know if you're into those type of things!

Yeah, the first thing I noticed was how tiny the wires are...

The Garage Box is also one if you can find one. Was lucky enough to come across one on eBay.

What I don't quite get about the dual 3.5 style adapters, even though I have a Garage Box but often don't use it. Most folks seem to like the idea because they think it takes strain off the Mojo's ports. However, the DJ44MOJO is 48g or 24g per port. The DJ44CPro is 7g. From an adapter weight perspective the single port adapter is less strain. From a cable strain perspective sure it gets divided across the 2 ports if a cable gets yanked, but then again, I think I would rather break 1 port and have a working backup.

For both the Poly and adapters like this, I wish the Mojo had support pegs like the connection between the Hugo 2 and the 2Go.

The dual-port connector has a large, flat, flush side that further supports the connection. Its point of contact is one whole side of the Mojo. A lot less strain IMO than adding a long, narrow, cylindrical adapter whose only point of contact with the Mojo is only at the connector itself. But I don't use it in a pocket, so that might make a difference.

PW audio is better constructed and, given the pictures previously on the thread, won't break easily if at all. Yes, they were the only game in town until recently.

It's a premium feel product that matches the Mojo perfectly. None of this matters sonically of course.
