Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]

Here we go again, sources into Mojo 2 and this USB cable is clearly superior to that USB cable despite that they are both fully functional and offered to you by audio specialist companies for only one purpose.

Funny how in all the comments and discussion in all the forums on this site one never reads something like ..... "I did a double blind test with the help of a friend comparing A with B and I could tell the difference 18 times out of 20".

The comments are always more along the lines of ........ "I heard it so it is true so you should all use this".

I have no opinion on USB cables in this instance, but double-blind is not the best way to test. You're never going to pick very subtle differences that way. You really need to set up a testing scenario that allows instant switching between the two sources, so two mojos with different cables into an amp with dual inputs or a switch box.

That is essentially what I meant, sorry if my wording was incorrect.

Get a Poly, it will sound even better and you have a super compact set up where your phone or your watch becomes the remote.
Get a poly , oh yeah, easy....That should read Get a poly (if funds allow), it will sound...........Ive mentioned this before and the tone of comments like that really annoys me. Gota get real folks, a lot of us are in the s##t

That won't work because the listener always has a preference, cost, manufacturer, materials etc, so one will sound better due to preference because we are all humans after all.

There really is no reason why copper wires should sound warmer than silver except copper is orangy and silver is, well silvery, if the electrical properties are the same of course.

For the same reason as food presentation is important, its part of the overall tasting experience.

Oh b*****ks I just carried the discussion on.

If you are really 'in the crap' then you shouldn't be reading these threads if they cause you pain. No-one here will judge you.

The variations of the phrase common in several cultures 'cut your cloth' is very relevant here.

If you are a starving student, then it is possible to use head-fi threads to find recommendations for 'good sounding' value for money audio gear.

If you are an older guy like me, who has spent carefully during his working life, but wants to enjoy listening to music before he retires/dies, then Chord products do offer that without breaking the bank.

In between there is plenty of opportunity to learn from head-fi threads how to obtain great sounding kit, to suit a particular restricted budget.

There is no need to get aggressive about things. :relaxed:

just got DD MFI09S Lightning to USB-C

like the sound though but after listen for a couple minutes, there is a Static noise / White noise replacing all the song/music 🥲🥲🥲

i have to unplug the cable so the noise is gone, but later it comes back again.

anyone experience with this issue and know how to fix this. It will be much appreciated.

ps. previously, i use Hidizs LT02 with no problem

I've never tested MFI09S, but I've been using the DD MFi07S for over 2 months without any problems

Hey,
so I made a video on this issue:

Working away at my desk and using the MFi07S with no issues (excuse the mess) I have over 100 hours with no issues actually.
Going to make a quick update vid on this when time permits but I think because the 7S is newer than the 9S and whichever DD Hifi cable I had before, they tout it as being more compatible. That's certainly how it's looking to me at least. Consider exchanging if possible and please let me know your findings.

Seems to be a sale on the Mojo 2 at the moment, at least in the UK. £100 off in a lot of places. I wonder why?

Initial demand was high. They likely increased production/orders based on that. Then with increased interest rates and higher cost of living in general demand has likely decreased considerably. So they need to find a way to move some stock. Schiit experienced that too, hence their first ever sale last year.

Chord is also likely under some pressure on the revenue side and in terms of moving stock because of their massive price increases last year on many of their models. Many companies thought the good times will just keep rolling and the sky is the limit.

Anybody else mount their Mojo under the desk?

I don't use it as a mobile device, so I've double-sided taped it to the underside of my desk. Also under there feeding the Mojo is a WiiM Mini. The mini is simply plugged in to a power bar that's also under the desk, making for a pretty clean setup.

And the iPad is simply the controller to stream music to the WiiM. I can access both my personal collection or Amazon HD, which is our best option here in Japan, through the WiiM software.
