If i were to use the chord 2 as a desktop dac/amp, can it be powered through the usb on a computer or does it need a wall charger?
The Mojo OG needed a charger that could supply 2.1A, but many computer usb could only supply 0.5A.
Nowadays computer usb tend to supply 3A max, so Mojo 2 might be ok with them.
So the first thing to do is to check the A rating of your computer usb.

It’s a 3.5mm to 4.4mm adapter. Not sure what kind of added fanciness folks expect.

I would expect it to not fall apart... ;)

us

Thank you for let me know.
Ask another question?
if use DAP as sources instead of Poly, is that any big difference between high end DX340/WM1Z to compare with entry DAP R4/JM21? Thank you.
The DX340 is just on another level compared to the Mojo2. The DX340 is a hiend. But very different sound signature.
Mojo2 is warmer, full body sound.
DX340 is insane holographic soundstage, crazy resolution, but it sounds more lean, and sometimes I feel that it needs more bass.

Good evening! I didn't understand how to find it by searching. I have an airpulse a100 active speaker. How do I connect it to mojo 2? If you do this through digital inputs, then the internal stuffing of the acoustics itself will be involved, which makes no sense))

You need a 3.5mm to RCA cable. 3.5mm goes into one of the two (analog) outputs on the Mojo 2. The RCA connectors go into the Aux RCA inputs on your speakers.

Is it possible to plug a Bluetooth dongle into usb-c input of Mojo 2 ?
If usb-c input of Mojo 2 does not provide power to the dongle, do you know a battery powered BT dongle ?

The Airpulse a100 Edifier has a completely digital path, and if you listen to it through the analog input, then you convert the signal two extra times, i.e. analog-digital-analog. There's no point in connecting the Mojo 2 to them. You'll still be listening to the Airpulse's internal DAC.

Dont know if that BT idea works, but you can add extra power to a usb port if you want with special Y cables made for that purpose. Depends if mojo can deliver enough or not. Y cables with all kind of connection types..

Right now, my a100 is connected to the fiio k9 pro ess, and the subwoofer is also connected to the a100. And the sound is quite visually different if I connect it via USB or if I connect it to the k9 pro ess using RCA. This is mainly reflected at low frequencies. With this connection, does the sound also undergo a transformation similar to how it will be with mojo?

Does anyone have a link (Ali Express? Whatever!) for a replacement battery for the Mojo 2? I think mine is dead and I would like to replace it. It doesn't look difficult.

I am aware it'll work fine when plugged in but I'm using with Poly and it's nice to have freedom of movement 🙂

Cheers!
