I have good news: DJBattery has agreed to sell me a battery. The price is quite high — 70 USD, including shipping. Moreover, I asked them if other people could also purchase from them, and they said yes. So, anyone interested can buy the DJ133273 battery for Mojo 2.

To do this, go to their website’s main page, click the “LEAVE A MESSAGE” button in the bottom right corner, and fill out a simple form. Be sure to include the model identifier (DJ133273) and the country for delivery. They will reply to your email with the cost including shipping and ask you to confirm the purchase. After your confirmation, they will send you the bank details. Once you have made the payment, inform them, providing the contact person’s name, phone number, and delivery address.

Please note that DJBattery does not sell this battery at retail, so you won’t find it on their website.

I hope this information was helpful!

Finally the ordered battery for Mojo2 has arrived. And imagine - the seller sent three pieces instead of one paid for! Pleasantly surprised, nothing to say.
For those who are also planning a replacement: the battery came completely ready to install. It has everything needed - adhesive tape on one side for attaching to the cover and thermal insulation layer on the other.

I've already replaced the battery - it turned out to be a no-brainer. All you need is a h1.5 hex screwdriver to remove the seven bolts and the Mojo is disassembled. But there are a few small nuances that you should pay attention to:
  • The case consists of two parts: the board is in the base and the battery is glued to the cover. They are connected by a short wire through a small connector on the board, so be careful when removing the cover.
  • Before you peel off the old battery, be sure to memorize its location. The wire is quite short, and if you glue the new battery on the wrong side, the wire will not reach the connector.
  • The old battery is glued down pretty firmly, but I just pryed it up gently with a screwdriver and had no problems.
  • regarding the connector - it has a specific connection mechanism, but disconnects easily without force. The main thing is to do it correctly (mechanism shown in the animation below).

That's basically it! Reassemble and enjoy using it.

@joshnor713 personally I think A&K SP3kT considering list price is overpriced and I would never consider it without a very considerable discount. Same goes for SE300. Beating Mojo 2 with all its technicalness and transparency at its price level is very hard. I know I will be retiring to Mojo 2 occasionally. When using Mojo 2 exclusively I had a tendency to go back and listen to Mojo OG and I still highly value OG while being very happy and fortunate to own both at the same time.
One of my regrets has been selling my Mojo 1 to fund my Mojo 2. I think they're both worth having, for different moods or specific headphones. Maybe I'll pick one up used someday.

@masterpfa I would never consider SP3KT if not considerable discount. IMHO the list price is way too high, especially if you consider the SQ of some dac/amp like Mojo 2 for example and other DAPs currently available.
I totally agree, when I got my OG Mojo I compared my Phone/Mojo with the AK daps available at the time which were

AK100II
AK120II
AK240

I wanted to consider an all in one solution as these daps would provide and were some of the best available at the time and at the dealer I was able to test them with.

I walked away after about an hour with my non scientific listening test more than satisfied with my Mojo and phone as it was and I was not in need of an upgrade at the time.

I was justified in my original choice.

I am in the fortunate position to be able to keep my Mojo 1 (that and the difficulty in parting with any of my equipment).

I might just revisit my OG Mojo for a walk down memory lane

Just got a perfectly sized transport for the Mojo/Mojo 2 - Hiby R1

This reminds me of the AK100/Mojo combo I used to use back in the early days and pre Poly

Not having the best experience with the Mojo2. Poly was nightmare. Still working on getting DLNA playbck working. In the meantime I just want to plug in the mojo2 to my iphone and compare the sound. I have an Apple branded lightning to USBC cable. Do I just plug it in and it should work with Qobuz. So far, I tried it but I cant output audio.

Do the M2 does not show up when you check for additional output options in Qobuz while playing a track?

@joshnor713 I'm sure you will eventually find one in good condition and in very reasonable price range :) That's the advantage of FOMO driven market - people constantly are looking for new, better audio equipment while not enjoying what they have already.

Maybe it is nostalgia in my case since Mojo OG introduced me to Chord sound and dac philosophy and eventually made me buy TT2 and M-Scaler but I still think, that even today it is a awesome proposition if you like its sound signature. The only other competitor it had due to bigger battery and settings while retaining pleasurable sound signature was ifi micro line (especially BL and its upgrades) but ifi never could get quality volume control pots into their micro line products (some say otherwise but my personal experience denies it).

Mojo 2 maybe an evolution in SQ, stage width and depth, timing, clarity, micro detail retrieval and transparency in comparison to Mojo OG, but somewhere in between all those improvements it lost its own character IMHO.

I use the Chord Mojo 2 as a TV DAC/AMP with Optical connection from my TV.
My headphones Focal Clear MG.

I am looking to get an equivalent quality Dac/AMP as the issue is the Chord Mojo obviously ha son remote control, so I have to keep changing it manually as it's right under my TV. I do not want to try a longer Optical cable as that is awkward for me.

I do like the Chord Mojo 2 with my Focal Clear MG Pro for the following main reasons:
1. It does not sound harsh as do many other DAC/AMP's.
2. Has EQ which is very useful and I use it.

So can anyone advise of an alternative DAC/AMP for my TV as Optical Out to drive Focal Clear MG Pro based on the nice non harsh sound:
1. Has Optical Output.
2. EQ Function.
3. Remote Control.
4. maybe balanced which is goof for Focal Clear MG PRO.

Any suggestions for UK purchase?
maximum £800.

if it does not beat the Mojo 2 in audio performance then I will just stick with that.

A used RME ADI2 FS?

People swear by them as one of the best AIO DAC/amps for headphones.

You have a tall ask for the price you want.

In this case, did you mean optical input? Do you have a poly or other Bluetooth alternative with mojo? You could invest in a Bluetooth transmitter, with optical input if you don't want to use the TV's own Bluetooth. There are some very cheap ones with aptx LL on AliExpress. It would be a cheap way to solve your problem while keeping the mojo.
