Chord Mojo 2 EQ settings

Anyone had a crack at EQ for the LCDi4? My journey is just beginning.

For the Focal Utopia 2016 I prefer the neutral setting, whereas for the 2022 version I prefer to turn up the green band 1 dB, and leave the lower bass setting either on neutral or -1 depending on the recording, all to actually make the 2022 sound as much as possible like the 2016, because that one has the perfect synergy with the Chord Mojo 2 to my ears. And oh, yes, I’m in the middle of deciding whether the 2022 is a keeper for me or not, otherwise it’ll be returned.

Well, I may have tested the Utopia 2022, which I returned to the store almost a month ago, too much in direct comparison mode, frantically switching between the OG and the 2022, thereby never giving the 2022 the time and space to achieve sufficient brain burn-in, because while using the OG in ‘2022 mode’ - with the green EQ setting on -1 and the red one on neutral or +1 depending on the recording, emulating the 2022 quite closely - for an extended amount of time, I may actually be turning into a 2022 convert after all!

turbo mode, set all to blue and just lol halp.



you can do a v shape, u shape, w shape.


old tracks, have cross-feed, plus 1, 2 or 3


Warm it up a bit, set yellow up only plus 3


some tracks, bring the singer bit forward, put green plus 1, 2, 3

if the singer is annoying, minus him to, -3


then when your kinda had fun messing around, I just in general have, red plus 3, yellow plus 3 and cross-feed plus 1 [if its old record from the 60s]


have fun.
