Chord Electronics TT3? Dave 2? Why is no one talking about this....

If the Etude technology has trickled down to the BerTTi, maybe that implies that an Etude2 is on the horizon.

Also makes me wonder if the Suzi is a stereo amp in the Hugo family form factor. Maybe an initial digital amp, to allow the TT2 levels of power output, and act as a Proof of Concept for the digital amp family.
I don't think BerTTi has trickled down Etude/Ultima tech because in the info sheet, BerTTi doesn't have dual feed forward error correction which is core to the Etude/Ultima amps. I guess it's possible that BerTTi uses the same higher powered MOSFET from Chord Etude? So far, I haven't seen any additional Chord amplifier tech since the Etude/Ultima amp line was developed. I have to admit it's a little weird that the smaller Anni integrated amp has the dual feed forward error correction but BerTTi does not. So it's always possible that marketing for BerTTi forgot to add that. But if BerTTi has dual feed forward error correction, it would be the same as Etude except for the form factor, which would also be a bit weird.

You're right, I was misreading the spec sheet.
If Bertti did have dual feed forward error correction, then it would capture some Etude sales, so it would then make an enhanced Etude2 a logical step.
Without the error correction, then Bertti feels like just a TToby with a slightly enhanced power output, and not a radical step change in capability. Puzzling indeed.

My mind is clear.. amps only degrade the source sound or colour it.. so the DX amp approach with the least possible components and signal path is the way to go..

I wouldnt be supprised if the DX amp was long ready.. John heard it.. and was like Omg😬.. this will undermine the sale of my own amp designs.. No lets bury this product.. it may never be released.. 😂

An excellent conspiracy theory.
Rob will own the IP, so if Chord aren't interested, he could always sell the design to another manufacturer.

Munich is a high-end show, so high-end wallets.
Great
Hugo3 and TT3 are targeted at medium-end wallets, so maybe announced at London canjam. :relaxed:
The TToby was released at the Munich show years ago so it follows Bertti is released there.
Personal wish I would have liked a mono block TT amp and a TT2 sized integrated amp with analog inputs along with a TT streamer.

I suppose the new Dave and new M-Scaler will be next?

No news on any Chord digital amps?

For the Bertti all we have is that photo of what looks like a page from the product catalog that Chord provide to dealers, but no mention of it on the Chord website or What Hifi website. This is a mysteriously very low-key announcement by Chord, so I have started to wonder if the photo was a spoof .

[Edited] On the Chord website, the TToby is now displayed as legacy, so maybe the BerTTi is its replacement.

Rob has posted that he will be attending several meets/canjams, so I presume that could tie in with the announcement of some of his products, but no clues what they would be.

No leaks about any digital amps.

What we need with Hugo3 isn't more taps

We need 10 band parametric EQ - more advanced than Mojo's limited EQ.

The only way to do this is like Qudelix 5K do it - an iOS/Android app that sends the EQ developed in the app (via Blutooth), stored on the DAC, that doesn't need the phone for the EQ to work.

You just use the app to develop the EQ.

Essentially a Qudelix 5K on steroids - this would be a game changer because there is nothing like it for portable use with the power of the Hugo2

That's the only thing they need to work on and add and it would be a game changer. Maybe USB-C input too.

If I may wish a feature for Hugo3 (set aside better sq), it would be a portable/desktop switch, like the one with Fiio M17. Portable is fine with less than a watt of power, but then connect it to desktop adapter, and add significant amount of power for desktop use.

Even mid-end player Fiio M15s able to use this feature and still in relatively "normal" size (not huge like M17).
