It does make me wonder if, in the future, I could just purchase a non-working Hugo 2 and harvest the shell of it. I'm handy enough with electronics that this doesn't intimidate me.

I haven't complained to Chord about it because it seems like a pretty minmor complaint - but a few have raised a decent point: I've paid at least $3500 into this setup, and it should look the part.

Until Chord comes out with a Hugo 3, I don't see myself changing this out any time soon - it suits me quite well. Here's hoping that new device has something like a 2go built in.

In my experience Chord team very open to customer comments I suggest drop them an email. They may not be aware the difference in finish is an issue. I agree w/ others at these price point fit and finish should be flawless.

Does anyone know the size of the screws that keep the 2go together? I had to replace the battery, but the screws were misplaced and it looks like I have to get new ones.

It only does it with some IEMs (mest mk2), not with other (u12t and rn6)

Was thinking about getting C9ii but your humming issue is making me worry a bit.
Any findings meanwhile like for example grounded IC between C9ii or Hugo2 or trying different wall sockets?

Dear fellow Hugo 2 users, I have a quick question regarding the line-out: Instead of the RCA, can I also use the 3.5mm headphone output as well?

Reason I am asking is because I also have a Mojo 2 and was wondering if I could use the same 3.5mm to RCA cable. (I don't have one yet to try it.)

I haven't tried it yet but I asked a similar question a few pages back in the thread and iirc yes, you can, and both methods will still go via the H2's amp stage

Hi, quick answer is yes, both have same line level out and attached to the same amp stage and both sound exactly same.

Source (iPad or DAP) > USB > Hugo 2 > A + B
A = 2x RCA > amp 1
B = 3.5 to 2x RCA > amp 2

If yes, that would be wild!

In theory I think that could be done, but would be difficult to level match the amps to get same volume out, but could work, also I presume you would use same HP for each, not sure how this would affect if at all the power consumption of the H2 if run same time and this would cause an issue, only tried connecting a HD800 and DCA stealth at the same time but that was not very good as different volumes so could not compare accuaretly...maybe soeone else who are more technicaly inclined than me could pitch in, or just send above to Chord support and ask, they are usually fast to reply...
