Looks like you're right Mike...

I still hope Chord decides to make cases for Hugo 2. My reasoning is that there will be many more Hugo 2 owners than Hugo 1 since they introduced Mojo for the masses, this means more potential customers for Chord.

The Van Nuys case does look quite attractive.
I too think that Hugo 2 will prove more popular than Hugo 1, partly because we have already had over 3000 posts on this thread, before any production units have shipped, so surely the interest will escalate during the next few weeks.

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:people pay a premium for the hugo 2 for the subtleties it can uncover and dig out in various genres of music that lower priced products simply just cannot do. whether someone pays the extra for this added quality is their prerogative and no one should try to influence them otherwise./QUOTE]

Amen, I could not agree more.

I have had a look at the manual and everything seems ok, apart from the fact that the fact that there is only a limited 18 month warranty on the internal batteries. So, after 18 months you are on your own with respect to those batteries and they are not user replaceable (if you open the thing you void your 3 year warranty on hardware). Not good enough as far as I am concerned, I can not justify spending that amount of money on what seems to be a semi disposable item. I want something I can plug into my system and reasonably expect to work for 10 years plus with no problems. That is not really a lot to ask for these days.

I suppose I will wait for the 3qute. Hopefully Chord will be kind enough to make it with a variable output/volume control.

The Hugo 2 was featured in the latest episode of Samurai Jack. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So has anyone compared the Hugo 2 to the Yggdrasil? (I'm looking for actual detailed comparisons of the sound, not speculation.)

Important! Properly quote me or I may not see your reply, as this thread is too active for me to follow.

By the way, back in February I added the Hugo 2 to the Head Gear section. Once the functionality of the site is restored, you should be able to add it to your lists, and you can already publish reviews there.
