@alekc
the hugo2/mscaler is effectively a 1 million tap dac so superior to the tt2 on its own. without doubt IMHO. go hugo2/mscaler then sell hugo2 later to add tt2. no rush and enjoy the process. i did that. the only exception is if you have very difficult to drive headphones like abyss or lcd 4 than you need tt2 first.
Thanks a lot @musickid :) I don't have lcd 4 nor any other hard to drive headphones so this is not an issue for me. How are you connecting H2 to mscaler? Second question: did anyone tested such setup with 2go included?

Excited to be joining the Hugo crew, just got one (upgrading from Mojo). Excellent pairing with my 820. Great step up in SQ on all fronts (resolution, dynamics, soundstage, imaging). Super satisfied.

you can't connect the mscaler to hugo2 with 2go. you need a dual bnc to single coax cable or with an adaptor. it is explained here before many times. the result is outstanding and worth the effort and is just behind an mscaled tt2. if you are serious about music there is no reason for not doing it if you can afford it. these pictures are before i upgraded to tt2.

for DJ i feel you will be making a mistake connecting hugo2 to another amp as the hugo2 is very powerful and transparent on its own. apart from that how do you find the comfort with the arya? i've been considering that headphone for a while.

Been listening to a UK Hi-Fi companies ex-demo set of Meze Empyrean's and comparing with my Beyer TP2 Gen 2's last night. Hooked up to my Hugo 2 which is hooked up to my Chord Blu MK1 via Moon Audio twin BNC to single 3.5mm jack to give me 176kHz playing CD's. Listened to various and broad spectrum of genres. Meze's tried with both types of earpads that came with the Meze's with the standard Meze 1/4" jack headphone cable.

Some people may be surprised of my findings (to my ears) which some Reviewer's have also experienced. All I can say is...I don't know what all the hype was about with these Meze's :triportsad:

Agreed. I was quite disappointed during my time with them.

Now that I have tried the Meze Empyreans which will be going back (must be the quickest review I have ever done on a pair of headphones), I think it's now leaning more towards trying an M Scaler as "musickid" pointed out in a recent posting on this thread.

The plus side for me on this move is I can link the M Scaler to my Chord Blu Mk1 and my Macbook and deliver 700+ kHz to my Hugo 2 and if I end up buying a Chord Dave (not a TT2 as Dave by it's form factor fits in nicely with the rest of my Chord Choral products), I can also feed the M Scaler to it, before maybe finally upgrading to a Chord Blu Mk2 or Mk3 in the distant future (if Mk2 is no longer available due to the spares problem for the Philips laser drive unit).

I have also now learned that to my ears the Beyerdynamic T5P Gen 2's are a great headphone especially with the Mojo and Hugo 2 and are still with me (bought them last August) and have been pitted against some respectable hi-end headphones as well as my past experiences and ownerships of a to electrostatic system (BHSE & Stax 009's). They must be one of the most under-rated headphones on the planet.

aren't the T5P's primarily more for mobile devices? I am curious how T1.2 sounds on the Chord stack.

Similar to @joshnor713 and @DJJEZ, I also upgraded from Mojo to Hugo 2. Same reactions, esp. the lovin' it part. Been using it to drive HD800S and Zeus XR.

Super excited to hear my 2Go has shipped and will be here on Sat.:L3000:

Great to hear. I was tempted to get a 2go right away too. But one step at a time. These things are pricey.

In fact, judging from my experience with the Poly, I'm deliberating holding off by principle. I'm an Android user and am severely limited on the go because Chord hasn't been able to get Google Casting on their streamers.

My primary use-case is Roon streaming. Poly works great for that. 2Go shouldn't have a prob with it.
