I haven't measured inside TT2, but for sure its power section is much improved.
As far ive seen TT2 doesnt have Dave's LM307/317 regulators (which are a Bob Dobkin 1976 design) but a new discrete circuit. Its supercaps surely contribute to more stable voltage. Rob also said only after Dave and battery findings with 2Qute/Qutest he focussed more on PSU section and changed TT2's design on that. Ofc mainly looking to the RF side of things, but also to be able to deliver extra current for the amp section to drive speakers which he wanted for himself.
Anyway every circuit behaves different and Dave's one is really sensitive to stable voltage cause of its regulator design. My (and others) ears have confirmed that
Another interview with Rob has been posted yesterday. Lol so we have to thank John for slipping a bit so Rob may talk abit about it.
Still i think its not a bad commercial strategy to instead of keeping the silence.. involve puplic opinions about some design choices (like Ibasso did with their DAP's)
Chord seems to have a bit of a form-factor issue. Folks who wanted the M Scaler with the DAVE had a mis-match. Now with a new DAVE Super Scaler coming out matching the DAVE, those with the TT2 who may want the new scaler will have another form-factor mismatch.

My XLR outputs on the Dave are not 100%. If the XLR cable is tugging it a bit it starts to crackle. If I jostle the XLR cable it produces some noise when listening to music.
@Reactcore is it easy to replace the XLR outputs on the Dave? If I was replacing them, any upgraded parts I should use? Thanks.
