There won’t be a Blu3. The Blu2 was ill-conceived, and has met its fate.Production of the Blu2 ended months ago.

Just get a teac transport and HMS, via toslink

I was just curious as I don't think Chord Electronics officially and publicly announced they would be stopping the production of the MK2 !

Well if you go onto some of the UK Chord Dealers websites they are still advertising the sale of the Blu MK2 !https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-electronics-blu-mk-2-the-official-thread.831343/post-15383935

My pre owned Chord Blu MK2 came without a remote. Is there a universal remote that somebody can suggest. It will need to be pre programmed obviously. Chord do have them but they are seriously understaffed owing to Covid. Thanks

Hello I own both the DAVE and Blu Mk2. I would like to know how do I use the same remote to put the DAVE and Blu Mk2 on standby? Currently I am only able to put the DAVE on standby by pressing the power button but the same button doesn't seem to work on the Blu Mk2. Does the Blu Mk2 automatically go into standby mode?
Pressing the Hifi button on my current remote causes the power button to light up for a second and then I press the power button to attempt to put the Blu Mk2 to sleep but all that does is wake up the DAVE instead!

Blu Mk2 doesn't have a real standby. The power button just puts the CD bit to sleep and not the heat generating MScaler part.

so if I understand you correctly, are you saying that it is normal for the screen to still say "no disc" and for the red LED to be lit up when it is on "standby mode"?
In standby mode the display is off but the red LED will remain illuminated. The HiFi button on the remote operates the Blu Mk 2 while the AV button operates the DAVE. Once in HiFi mode, pressing the power button on the the remote will switch off the Blu Mk 2 display.so if I understand you correctly, are you saying that it is normal for the screen to still say "no disc" and for the red LED to be lit up when it is on "standby mode"?

just to be clear, I am attaching a pic of the remote I am currently using with both my DAVE and Blu MkII. Chord has confirmed with me via email that this remote cannot be used to set both units to sleep. I tried the instructions above by using the HiFi and AV button but even then I only seem to be able to put the DAVE to sleep and not the Blu MKII.
