Right, using the pin to initialise a reset is the most logical option.
So totally how many hours have you waited
Mine also come back alive and boot into Hotspot mode. So I guess Poly stuck in rebooting process.
In total, from lock up to full charge was roughly 27 hours.
11 of those hours was charging poly from flashing red to blue. Using anker 4.7amp charger, which previously charged both mojo/poly combined in a few hours, 4 or so.
I also for the very first time saw poly flash the colour purple.
After charging, I went to pair with my phone and noticed that poly was flashing the colour purple, I had never seen that before, even when poly previously was tested in bluetooth mode. I have only ever saw poly flash rgb until last night when I saw the colour purple.
I am not sure if the problem to do with my poly was because of the fact that a week ago when the new firmware update was released, I was unaware of the new flash until after my poly had been updated.
Thats twice that the forced firmware update has happened and which I only became aware of it after the fact. My poly was being charged at the time the update happened.
I would very much prefer flashing over usb or the most preffered option, flashing from polys sd card, either automatically if poly see’s a specific named file on boot up or manually with poly connected to a pc/mac over usb and manually executing a file either on desktop or from sd card. I think it would be soo much safer.
I also think their should be a factory reset option via the pin, maybe push and hold for 30 seconds or 1 minute, I tried that when my poly froze, I pushed the pin in for about 2 minutes to see if it would reset.
Maybe chord are already planning to include those features further along polys roadmap ?
In my opinion for what it is worth, In my opinion both poly and gofigure are both clearly still in the beta stage of development. However I can see that progress is being made and I am sure that is light that I can see at the end of this tunnel that we are in.
Edit,
Yesterday when poly locked up, I connected it to mojo and turned mojo on and turned up the mojo volume to full so that hopefully the batteries on mojo/poly would run out quicker.
Mojo ran out of batteries first and eventually so did poly.
The genius that I am forgot that mojo was at full volume, guess whats coming next ?
And yes, I do hear ringing in my ears, worse than before, hopefully it will subside in a few days like my other nerves as the brain adapts to and tunes out the ringing.
