I have Roon and don't use it with Poly or 2Go and can detect no difference in sound quality between Roon and Airplay or MPD or DLNA.

Remember our brains do all of the listening or processing of what our ear sensors detect, Human ear sensors are relatively very poor at what they do, if you know its Roon or Airplay or whatever or 512 DSD or 44.1Khz PCM your brain may well work out that one is better than another, if you can train your brain to tell you there is no difference you will be as happy as I am.

Other than the convenience of having no cable there is no difference between feeding Mojo from Poly, it sounds the same, the same great DAC just a difference in how its fed with digital data.

Some people's brain's will also compel them to buy a $2,700 IEM cable because it "sounds" better, perhaps its the cost of ownership that makes it "sound" better in this case.

It’s not that I hear a difference it’s that airplay skips continuously and Roon does not. The SD sounds better than both though. I also don’t listen outside the house or office. On the go AirPods Pro 2 all the way for convenience while still sounds great and so light you don’t even know you’re wearing them. 😁

Recently got a chord poly with mojo 2, was working fine for a few weeks and just today, i tried to connect to it via go-figure and poly will not show-up. I had it in hotspot mode, changed to Wi-Fi, it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi and now wont even show up on go-figure. The side just shows a solid red light. I tried turning off-on and still solid red light. I unplugged poly from mojo and still solid red light. Poly was fully charged and plugged in entire time up until i tried to play it today. I also tried the pin and no prompts are heard. Any thoughts.

Are you referring to the P status light?

I seem to recall when Poly first launched that a solid red led showed a battery issue.

Just to rule them out, do you have another charger and cable you can use? If you haven't already, please try charging Poly on its own for a few hours, then join it to Mojo 2 to try it again.

I fully agree with the advice given above. If that does not work out, try running the battery all the way down to zero, and then let it recharge overnight. This is been mentioned in this thread as a solution, a couple of different times.

Thanks for the info. I did try 2 different cables and 2 different chargers and no luck. Both work completely fine with mojo2 alone, light comes on and indicates it’s good power charging. I am currently charging it on its own and will try again in a few hours. And if that doesn’t work, will drain it to zero and recharge again as noted above.

Tried all of the above and still no luck. Emailed Chord as well and they responded with a line, drain the battery and try again otherwise take it to a dealer. Not so helpful given I bought the unit from a fellow Head-fier. Any other thoughts from the group?

I would be asking the seller for a refund or hopefully you paid with Paypal goods and services to get a refund

Has anybody ever managed to get the Poly to connect to a hidden network?
It appears to allow U to define it: SSID + PW and then it sits there on the list but I can't connect to it. (It just sits there 'trying to connect')
I've tried with a couple of different access points from different manufacturers but to no avail.

btw it is a later model with 3.0 firmware

It is good that Chord have replied to you.
Historically Chord have the 'formal' support process based on 'return the item via the dealer network' but they can propose that a user sends items direct to them.

In your case if you have a nearby dealer, then the simplest solution is to contact the dealer and Chord will then facilitate the way forward.
If you have no nearby dealer, then legally your recourse is through the seller who may have sold you a defective item. Some posters will say correctly that this should be your first option, but it does run the risk of becoming a 'I sold you a working item, and you have broken it' or 'my word against yours' type of scenario.

Hope you can sort this out.

Yep that is exactly why I purchased mine new. An item like Poly with a checkered history needs a dealer's support IMHO just incase the worst should happen.
