I want more medium oriented audio signature like my old AKG K612 Pro
Pro 82 was too neutral, nor medium doesn't sound impressive, neither high pitched
I ordered two, one for me and one for my brother, we both sold it
I ve told about Pro 82 to someone, then he ordered it, he really like it
I think its about personal preference, good model but not for me
Sounds like B8 is the right choice for you, it has more accentuated mids over Pro 82.
Pro 82 would be bright-neutral...
I would only characterize Pro 82 v1 as bright-neutral, Pro 82 v2 is not bright at all, both treble peaks were reduced:

How would the M40X compare to the Pro 82, B8 and K371? I heard they're slight V, so quite unlike the aforementioned three?

NGL, i will contact linsoul to see if I can get it
I reached out to them on Discord and they said they were planning on offering other colors when they can get them.

I’m surprised there haven’t been any reviews of this unit yet, though perhaps no one has received one yet.

M40x is pretty much neutral, apparent have good tone. Enough bass, but a bit lacking in details.

Its a good go to headphone for the price. And a good beginner headphone to get used to neutral ish sq with good tonality.

I'd agree and say its very neutral. The sound is bright and a little sharp in the treble but for those sensitive to treble this can be easily fixed with the brainwavs pads that are made for the AT-m40x, as an added bonus the pads also increase the bass a little. I would say the signature is a leaning towards the thin side and analytical but not in a bad way.

Its excellent for classical music.

I've been using the cheapo version of Brainwavs pad on my M40x for awhile i forgot that it is a bit sharp using the default pads.
And yup, the bass is better with brainwavs.

I sincerely wish for M40x upgrades that have same sig but with much better details.
Currently using M40x and HE400i (2020), its not quite the same
