I placed an order for MDH9000. Lets see if the hype is real. :p
Keep us posted! Hope you have more luck than quite a few buyers on Ali though, they seem to fall apart easily...

I've had mine since Christmas 2016...not a single issue. They aren't daily but did cosistently use them for gaming.

I've been using my ISK MDH9000 clone since November for many hours every day, and they're awesome, especially for the price.

Does anyone know a clone available at Amazon (Germany)? I'd like to try them with the option to return them...

Just look for any of these models.

There are very small tuning variations between a few of them, but they are all fairly similar sounding. And if you get one clone, you can turn it into another by tweaking a few things.

Akai Professional Project 50X
ISK MDH9000
Stellar Labs HC-5985
Marantz MPH-2
Freeboss MDH9000
LyxPro HAS-30
Neewer NW-9000

As you can see pro82 has better extended bass
I have no doubts in accuracy of Roderick’s measurements but I can’t hear Takstars bass extension. Similar situation was with my old Sennheiser HD 215 II. I wasn’t able to hear sufficient amount of bass while FR graphs showed opposite. On the contrary some headphones with a bit reduced bass sounds ok. I think it’s not all about bass quantity but also about its quality. And IMO MDH9000 quality is a way better.

Just look for any of these models
It might be a stupid question but what was the original model? MPH-2?

MDH9000 i think.

Yes, the original model is the ISK MDH9000.

The clone models aren’t copies. They’re the same headphone, same drivers, same packaging, same cables, etc. Just different branding on the box and headphone (printed on the headband and embossed on an aluminum plate on each cup).

The 50X had a lower price point, so it used cheap crappy pads. But they’re easy to change with the OEM pads.

Also, the only other difference is a few extra holes on the ear cup are covered with tuning paper on the Neweer 9000 and Project 50X clones (which makes them a bit bassier).

Ordered the 'CAL' to see what the fuss is about. Expect to retour them actually (build quality looks horrible and I just can't imagine Creative sounding good), but we'll see.

Those are actually based on Foster 443741-OEM and are also known as Denon D1001. Creative itself probably havent released anything listenable during their career as far as the headphones go.

And aren't the Massdrop x E-MU Purpleheart also based on the CAL?

Yeah, and E-MU Walnut as well. Walnut is supposedly improved a bit compared to original.
