Summer sale is next month, worth waiting until then! Audiosense AQ4, DT600 and T800 are all worth a look when they are around 50% discount. Yume II may drop to around $150 if 11/11 prices repeat. SR5 or Juzear 41T are promising at $150 (depending on how bright you prefer). If you don't have a planar there are lots of options.Hi guys! Some reviews mention that is has a metallic upper mid/ lower treble region. Is that an accurate assessment?AFUL P5

Thanks for that. The graph comparison shows the bass to be considerably lower than the P5 which simply is a no go for me. I sometimes wonder why people detest bass so much. It is for me as essential a part of the music as anything else. I just dont understand this anaemic bass where the intended emotion of the musician is somewhat lost. Looks like a rant to meThe Performer 5 has BA timbre yes.
I think the Performer 5 is decent (above average), warm U-shaped tuning sound with huge sub-bass. Quite fatigue free, good technical chops (other than a small soundstage).
Otherwise, some other nitpicks are that it isn't too coherent, with the DD bass being a bit slower and less textured than the faster BA drivers handling the other frequencies.
Hope the Performer 8 which just released will fix these issues.
Not only the drivers, its the build quality.I just took a look and it's quite amazing that these days one can get 5-driver IEMs for $200. Very cool!
Zhulinniao Shanghua Z2 -$14 bullet style iem with a bright AF tuning. People in mainland China must have very good resistance in the 6k - 8k region because holy heck are these bright

Basshead?Looking for a 100 euro pair of IEMS with good isolation, good bass/sub bass and midrange.
Not too dark, as I'll use them live sometimes. But not particularly concerned about treble microdetails. Loved my LZ A4 and BLON 03s, but the Blons are not bassy enough. And the A4s are openback.
Don't think so. I mean "Not too dark".Basshead?
Not a bass head. But play bass and listen to a lot of electronic music and modern pop with a lot of sub bass.Basshead?
7HZ Legato, CCA CRA, KBEAR Rosefinch, IKKO OH10, SHUOER S12 with damping mod.
Thank you!Don't think so. I mean "Not too dark".
Otherwise, good choice. S12 is slightly out of budget, though.
I guess Tangzu WANer and KZ PR2 are good, super budget options.
