Sony XA-777ES Tube mods: At T.H.E. Expo in Vegas, ModWright will be debuting mods for the Sony XA-777ES multi-channel flagship SACD player. These mods will include a single-ended tubed output stage for the XA-777ES (circuit design by Jennifer Crock of Jena Labs), with an outboard power supply for the tube stage, completely hand-built with custom transformer from Electraprint - www.electraprint.com.
The balanced output stage mods for the SCD-1 and SCD-777ES will be available after C.E.S. and T.H.E. Expo in January. Both Jena Labs and ourselves have simply been buried and have decided to offer the single-ended tube stage mod for the XA-777ES first.
