Have no idea on a good cheap hybrid, it might be out there, but just do not know.
But The Schiit Fulla 4 is what I would get.

Thank you. I have been hearing that 2W per channel (?) @ 32 ohms is needed for HE400i. What does the 200mW on the Fulla translate to?

FiiO K5 Pro is a good, budget DAC/amp that will adequately drive HE-400i.

The xDuoo TA-01B DAC/amp is another good one, puts out 2100mW at 32 Ohms.

Used one on eBay right now
